RMT: Network Rail workers antechamber MPs over job cuts (27.1.10)

RAIL UNION RMT today (January 27, 2010) handed a dossier of safety failures and maintenance cuts to MPs as rail workers lobbied parliament in protest at plans by Network Rail to axe a further 1500 safety-critical jobs. Hundreds of rail workers have contacted a confidential RMT email line to say lives could be put at risk. The dossier highlights the worst examples of where the scaling back of work and changing standards in preparation for the job cuts are already leading to a serious deterioration in safety. These first-hand accounts make for extremely disturbing reading. Examples include: - · Reduced track safety inspections · Delaying the repair of faulty level crossings · Reduced safety checks on railway signals At 12.30pm today (27th January) rail workers from across the UK will be outside Parliament sending out the clear message that Rail Cuts Cost Lives and calling on MPs and the Government to demand that Network Rail call a halt to the maintenance job cuts plans. RMT General Secretary Bob Crow said: We are sending a clear message to MPs that the rail maintenance job cuts are a lethal gamble, creating the perfect conditions for another Hatfield, Potters Bar or Grayrigg railway tragedy. The jobs to be axed are of those workers responsible for inspecting and repairing the track, signals, level crossings and overhead lines. They work 365 days a year, day and night in all conditions to keep the railway safe. Now they are going to be sacked as part of a so-called ...

Understanding Outbound Vs Inbound Marketing

If you have ever ridden a commuter rail, you understand the importance of being alert to the difference between outbound and inbound. Just look what happened to Charlie on the MTA. (A great sing-a-long often heard spilling from bars in and around Boston and worth a Google if you're in the mood for a giggle.)

While it may only cost you a couple of extra tokens if you lose your inbound and outbound bearings at the train station, getting it wrong in your marketing could lead to much more serious consequences.

What is outbound marketing?

Outbound marketing is the traditional stuff that most people think of when they think about marketing and includes things like print advertising, direct mail, telemarketing, TV and radio.

The defining factor of outbound marketing is that it reaches out to the consumer in the hopes of:

grabbing their attention
holding their attention long enough to deliver a message
hoping the message motivates them to take action - like spend money on a product or service

The success of outbound marketing hinges on its ability to effectively interrupt you. Outbound marketing doesn't work as well as it used to. That's probably because the average consumer is bombarded with anywhere from 250 to 3000 messages a day depending on how much time you spend online, watching TV, listening to the radio or reading newspapers and magazines.

With so much rapid fire information being hurled at consumers every day, is it any wonder that most people have become adept at tuning it out?

And now for the inbound scoop.

Inbound marketing is a relatively new species among marketing methods, spawned by the onset of the internet and more specifically Web 2.0 (click for a quick definition). It includes things like free tools and trials, search engine optimization (SEO), blogs, social media like Facebook and LinkedIn and viral video using sites like YouTube.

Inbound marketing focuses on attracting consumers by:

giving them something they want, usually at no charge
followed by building a relationship which includes giving them more of what they want at the same excellent price
with the ultimate objective of getting them to give you permission to interrupt them from time to time by email or snail mailing with special offers or additional information about stuff they care about

The result of doing this well is the creation of a very loyal community that will tell their friends (real and cyber) about you which will cause your loyal community to grow bigger and more loyal, the bigger your community, the more potential revenue.

Summary

It boils down to two opposite approaches: interruption vs. permission. When you think about it from that perspective, it makes perfect sense that outbound is waning and inbound is growing. After all, it's rude to interrupt people and it is polite to ask for permission.

Not only is inbound marketing more polite, it produces better results because:

· the relationship factor leads to higher prospect to client conversion
· the loyalty factor leads to more repeat sales
· the methods for implementing it are far less expensive than traditional outbound methods
· it's highly track-able so you can easily adjust to improve results
· there are a lot of easy to use, ready-made tools for the technically challenged.

If you're thinking, "Sounds great but I have no idea where to start, technology intimidates me and I just can't imaging taking on one more thing to manage," don't fret. I've created something called KISS 'em (Keep It Super Simple Email Marketing) designed to help you get started on your inbound journey with ease.

Whether you choose to go it alone or seek some help in your quest to create your inbound/outbound marketing mix, being conscious about the tactics you're choosing should remain your primary focus.

Aging in Place

When we think of home safety, there are many obvious precautions that come to mind: smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and strategically placed hand rails, just to name a few. However, there are many more eminent dangers that elderly parents face every day, dangers that can be easily remedied or removed from their home all together.

Falls are the number one cause of injury to seniors in their homes. Most falls are preventable! With just a few safety precautions you can decrease your parents chance of injuring themselves. Remove all phone cords that stretch or drape across a room, floor or walkway. If necessary purchase a cordless phone.

Do NOT store anything on a stair case, in the stair well or on the stair-treads. Never drape items over a stair banister that would prevent it being used as a safety bar or hand rail. Keep hallways and staircases well lit. Avoid slippery rugs and runners. Make sure all rugs have a non-slip backing and are flush to the floor. Keep a clearly marked emergency phone chart near the phone. Do not store heavy objects high in the closet or above waist level- handling a heavy object over head is sure way to lose balance.

Bathrooms are the most dangerous room in your parent's home. Water, soap and a slippery floor can be a fatal mixture. More falls occur in the bathroom than any other room. A walk in tub is one way of making your parents home a safer environment for your parents. A walk in tub will not only reduce their step over the side of the tub, but will also provide a seat to sit on during the bath. Walk in tubs greatly reduce the risk of falling while trying to bathe.

Another way to assist your parents in maintaining their independence and guaranteeing their safety is to replace their standard toilet with a higher commode seat. This eliminates the stress on the lower back when sitting down, and reduces the struggle to stand back up. The higher seat also helps your parents maintain their balance.

We strongly suggest adding safety bars and hand rails around the toilet area and the bathtub area. Safety bars not only give stability and strength to your parents as they stand or sit, but it also gives them peace of mind.

Planning Is Key.

"Aging In Place" is a new catch phrase to an old concept- living at home in comfort for as long as possible. There are many aspects that one should consider when intending to "age in place". The key goal is to be proactive with your preparation so that you're not making decisions in a "reactive" mind set during an already difficult time- should a crisis arise.

One key element to keep in mind when retrofitting or adapting your home or a loved one's home is "accessibility". Make sure their doors can be widened, sinks are low enough to be accessible from a wheelchair, kitchen counters are a convenient height and that at least one bedroom is on the main floor of your home.

The aging baby boomer population has a host of new options to assist them in their transition into the winter of life. It is important to understand the options so that you make the best decision for you or your loved one. Many factors need to be considered when planning changes to your home. We hope that these

Child Bed Safety Rails

What could scare your child more than the Boogieman? A fall from his bed! You may be able to put him to sleep by reading him bedtime stories, singing lullabies, or rocking him gently, but can you stop worrying long enough to have a good night's sleep as well? Child bed safety rails may not assure your little one that the Boogieman is a myth, but it can assure both of you that he won't fall off his bed.

There are several child bed safety rails available in the market. Before buying a particular one, it is imperative that you go over the product description to make sure that the child bed safety rails you intend to buy fit the bed that you are going to attach it to. There are products that are supposed to be attached to the top of the mattress and not adjacent to it. The purpose for this is to avoid the incidence of your child being caught between the bed and the child bed safety rails.

The other type of child bed safety rails would require you to attach them at the sides of the bed. Some products from this type are admittedly unsafe for use because it offers the chance for children to become entrapped between the mattress and the child bed safety rails. However, there are some products that provide a snug fit leaving no space between the bed and the rails.

There are also child bed safety rails that guard both sides of the bed. These are most useful to use if the child's bed is in the center of the room or in the absence of a wall side. Most of these products are attached together from under the mattress, giving it a snug and an unmovable fit. This particular mechanism eliminates the chance of the child to roll between the bed and the child bed safety rails.

Even if the child bed safety rails are designed to prevent any accidents to happen during bedtime, it is ironic that a lot of reported deaths and injuries in children are related to the use of these products. These cases were either due to the entrapment of the children between the bed and the child bed safety rails or their slipping through the bars or mesh of the rails.

The study on these rails-related cases has caused parents to think twice about using these products for their children. However, the number of deaths and injuries from falls are more alarming. Child bed safety rails are the angels that they are created to be, but letting them function as such depends on how well you choose the products. They should be able to take care of your child on his most vulnerable hours.

Ski Roof Racks

Skiing is a popular sport and pastime in the winter season. During the winter holidays, it is common for families to go out on skiing trips. Even in the summer months, when it gets too warm, people head northwards to relax in the cool environs of the snow clad peaks. Here too, it is common for people to indulge in the popular sport of skiing. But carrying skiing equipment can be quite a task, especially if you are driving down in your own car. Ski roof racks come to your aid in such a scenario, and help you in carrying your skiing and other winter equipment safely.

Before buying ski roof racks you have to consider a few important things in mind. The first and foremost thing to be checked is that whether your car has a factory installed cross bar or rail system. Depending upon the model and make of your car you will also have to consider buying a set of compatible ski roof rack accessories.

The size of the roof line length and width of the car has to be determined before buying ski roof rack, because this will determine how many skis can be hauled into the roof racks at one time. It is always advisable to opt for models that can be easily installed and removed, so that these ski roof racks can be detached and the car used in its normal condition during the off season.

Ski roof rack [http://www.directcaraccessories.co.uk/catalog/roof-barsboxes-c-3310.html] with added protection for the skis are widely popular in the market. Remember to lock your skis with the racks to protect them from theft. In case you wish to install permanent roof racks or roof boxes onto your car, look for ski roof racks that can also be used as bike racks as well as luggage racks. In order to use these multipurpose racks, one may have to buy a number of multiple universally compatible accessories.

Harpoon Willies - The Best of The Lake Geneva Bars

When it comes to Lake Geneva Bars, Harpoon Willies in Williams Bay Wisconsin is my favorite. There are many reasons why I have chosen Harpoons as the #1 bar and will tell you about them more within this article.

Of all of the Lake Geneva Bars out there you are probably asking yourself why did this guy choose Harpoon Willies as the best. For one, I have lived in the area for a long time and have a lot of experience with the bars in this area. I have visited them all, and some more than others, but none more that Harpoons.

Even though it is located in Williams Bay, I still consider Poons (as the locals call it) #1 because all of the Lake Geneva Bars just do not match up. With superior food, a great combination of tap and bottled beers, a wide variety of rail and specialty drinks, great customer service, and a downright home town friendly attitude it is no wonder why I give them top honors. All of these things add up to make Poons the must visit of all Lake Geneva Bars out there.

Well, it is obvious which tavern I have chosen top dog of all Lake Geneva Bars. That is not to say there are not many other bars that do not offer a great experience for the customer. The best way for you to decide which bars you think are the best is to get out and give them all a shot.

Here are a few other establishments to consider:

-Champs Sports Bar ===> Sports Bar
-Carvetti's ===>Pub/Night Club
-Hogs & Kisses ===> Night Club/Dance
-The Next Door Pub ===> Great Food & Bar
-Thumbs Up ===> Bar Only

If you can't make your way over to Harpoon Willies gives these others a try, as they are all quality establishments!

Go Kart Frames - Choosing the Right One for You

Karting enthusiasts emblazon the image of the perfect chassis in their minds: lightweight, yet powerfully durable material capable of launching a kart forward without the slightest wear or tear. Rare material that comes with the likes of professionally built popular race-cars like the illustrious McLaren. What about karts that could rip through side turns at speeding bullet speeds without raising a wheel a centimeter above the ground, gliding swiftly like a falco such as the futuristic cars in I, Robot? And along with perfect frames comes perfect tires, tires "grooven" to perfection providing the finest traction and downright freakish controls when running the curve.

Let's discuss the intricacies and place a perspective on frames for your go-kart. The chassis as it is called in professional and enthusiast circles, is by far the most important piece of this machine. The construction is paramount in maintaining a solid go-kart. What constitutes a frame? Think of a frame simply as parts holding a component together. In the case of these speedsters, the frame is welded together by torsion bars. Stiff frames are a result of shorter bars crossed together, and more flexible frames are associated with longer bars.

Stiff frames that do not provide flexibility were the backbone of earlier go-karts and broke down easily. First off, simpler go-karts do not have the specifications needed (most important, suspension and tire traction) to ease the punishment frames go through while turning, accelerating, and stopping. Running on 2 or 4 cycle engines does not help compensate the health of a frame. A lack of traction on your tires will cause uneven weight transfer and stability on your frame, ripping one or both sides loose at the same time. In essence, the frame is responsible for determining how well your vehicle moves zipping on asphalt, concrete, or dirt - dictating your performance on wide turns and shorter turns.

A sturdy, well-built frame is the key to manoeuvring well on the track, especially when turning. Wait, isn't a frame supposed to be resistant to the rigors and demands of punishing your go-kart as it explodes forward? Of course - but the most important criteria for an excellent frame is to negotiate turns well. Frames are directly responsible for how well go-karts turn left and right. Weaker go-karts with cheap components are known to slide and drift along turns - in some instances, flipping to its side entirely with careless driving. "Side bite" is referred to keeping a go-kart planted to the track without sliding. Without the proper frame, go-karts will manoeuvre out of control, even shutting off in some cases due to over pressure to the engine.

The design of the go-kart chassis has everything to do with how well it moves on turns and maintaining side bite. If the width of the rear rails (go-kart frames constitute front rails and rear rails) is narrow, with measurements ranging from 24¨ to 25¨ - from "kingpin" to "kingpin", the ends of the rail - it will have less side bite. Wider rails barely ever exceed 30¨ on standard go-karts. The dynamics of the front and rear rails can be effectively pictured using this example: suppose you had two bottles - a two-gallon jug and a 16 oz. Water bottle. Giving it a swift, hard poke to its side - which container has the best chance of tipping to its side? If you guessed the water bottle, you guessed right! Wider rails provide stability and "foundation" while turning, reducing the side bite overall.

Choosing the right frame for your go-kart can largely depend on the surface you are riding on. Whether it is asphalt, concrete, or dirt - different types of frames behave differently according to surface. For example, dirt track frames should consist of a short front rail and a longer back rail. Dirt tracks place a lot of stress and challenge on the front rail and stiff back rails zipping through dirt can cut power to the engine while cutting a turn. The best frame for riding dirt tracks are ones with narrow fronts and longer backs, vice versa to asphalt and concrete.

The A-1 performance of a frame largely depends on tire traction as well. Low traction tires (tires that do not "stick" well to the ground) are not grooved enough to withstand the rigors of the surface, rattling the stiff frame to oblivion. It also causes uneven weight transfer throughout the go-kart, and that is a no-no for maintaining optimum control of your money maker. Consider this scenario: you have two pairs of roller skates. One has wheels half-an-inch in width and the other has 3-inch-wide wheels. Which pair would provide better balance as you roller skate? If you love mathematics, treat traction as a formula with the equation: traction = stability. Go ahead, transform yourself into a karting aficionado with this valuable piece of knowledge!

A major issue among karting enthusiasts is the durability and longevity of flexible frames. Exposure to punishing breaks and turns, along with the gruelling hits to track walls every now and then, can distort the frame which cannot be "popped" back to its original condition. Experts recommend replacing frames every year. There are many maintenance techniques you could practice on your kart to keep flexibility intact like running your kart through a course backwards. Racing a kart using the finish line as your starting point and your starting point as the finish line will have a "reverse effect" on the frame, shaping it opposite of what it would be shaped if you were racing the course normally. It's like turning back the hands of time on your speedster!

The question over choosing the right go-kart chassis boils down to flexibility. High traction tires and a stiff frame is a recipe for disaster, causing your machine to turn stiffly and generate strenuous effort on the curves. Low traction tires will cause uneven weight transfer and break apart your frame like bread crumbs. Options for frames mainly depend on what type of go-kart you're riding, as each go-kart and their engine work best under certain scenarios. Stiff frames are a staple of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines and flexible frames are found with higher horsepower engines. Remember, the more rigorous the circuit, the more flexible a chassis should be!

Hampshire: Vietnamese actionable immigrants (1/2)

Complicated case this one... Border Control received a tip-off a nail bar business run by immigrants in Farnborough, Hampshire is employing and housing illegal immigrants. It turns out the owner of the business (who is nowhere to be seen) is a man who applied for asylum in the UK in 1999 but astonishingly his case has still not yet been decided, 10 years on. Also rather bizarrely he was given permission to operate a business by the Home Office. The man is living with a girlfriend who is also a asylum seeker but her application had been denied and she was released on bail and ordered to report to the local police station pending her deportation. She not only broke the conditions of her bail by failing to report, but also had given birth to a baby, presumably with the man she was living with, but failed to declare the birth with the Home Office. The girlfriend had filed a new asylum claim and Border Control believe due to the arrival of the baby it's unlikely the couple will be deported. Clearly this couple know how to play the system. The nail bar was employing two illegal immigrants from Vietnam, one of which claimed to be in the UK on a student Visa studying at a college in Oxford. Unfortunately for him his fellow illegal immigrant co-worker drops him right in it by letting slip that they both live in the nail bar owners house just 5 minutes away from the nail bar. Border Control officers then question the Vietnamese "student" further to establish exactly where he lives ...

Square Tubing Possible For Bar Foot Railing

Many of you may be familiar with the bar foot railing as having the round tubing. You may have seen this at restaurant bars or at the bar of your friend's home. But if you think that the round tubing is the only type available for use in foot rails, you're not totally correct.

There is also the square tubing made of stainless steel that can be used to make a bar foot railing. The tubing refers to the part where you actually put your feet on. Installing this fixture will involve the same steps when using the round tubing. It's up to you, though, to decide whether you will do the installation yourself or hire somebody more knowledgeable about the process.

By using a square type of tubing for your railing, the advantage is its flat surface which may be more comfortable to your feet whether you're standing at the bar or sitting on a high chair. This part is a great add-on to any bar regardless of where it's situated.

If you prefer to get the stainless steel material, there are different types of finish that you can select from. Examples are the polished and satin finish. Stainless steel is a very durable material that requires less maintenance. With this, you can be sure to have your attractive foot railing adorning your home bar for a long time.

If you're planning to add a foot railing to your bar, you can choose to install one either on just one side or the entire structure. If you decide to put it on one side, you will need a shorter tubing than when you're installing it on two or more sides with corners.

Ideally, you will need an eight-foot tubing for a standard bar foot railing. For your square tubing, choose one with a two-inch diameter and a .050 wall thickness.

Before everything else, you will have to measure the part of your bar where the foot rail will be installed. Use a measuring tape and make sure to get the precise measurement. Following this step, you can now order your tubing from your preferred store. In this case, you can choose to go to your local hardware store near your home or you can order online which may be a more convenient option.

You can order tubing in various lengths from a minimum of two feet to as long as eight feet. If you're installing foot railings for two or more sides, you will need to get an elbow so you can connect the two tubing in the corner area. If you need a longer pole for just one side of the bar, you will have to get a splicer or an internal connector. This component is what you inset into the end of each tube.

Don't forget to get the other parts as well because you won't be able to install your bar foot railing without them. These include the brackets, end caps and screws.

So now that you know about the square tubing, you can consider using it to your bar or recommend it to your friends.

Installation Procedure for a New Towel Rail

When you are installing a new rail, you need to make sure that it fastened securely since there would be wet towels that would be placed. You also need to make sure that you are installing it in a place that is easily accessible however; it should also be placed in a location, which is spacious. You also need to decide the height of where it is going to be placed so that you know how it would look if the rail is placed there.

Next, make a mark on where you would like to place the track, for this you would need to place the rack on the wall and make the marks accordingly. Be sure that you know where you are marking and keep in mind that that the marks are accurate.
Then place the rail on the wall and asked someone else to hold on to it properly.
Next using a drill, drill the hole right on the mark and keep in mind that the hole needs to be big enough to fit the rail properly and perfectly.
Ask a person to hold the rail while you are drilling it into the correct position. Also when doing this be very careful and choose a spot that is easy accessible.
Mount the rail properly into the fall and fasten it as well as make sure that it secured properly as it will be holding the weight of the towels.
Once you do that, you can start using your towel rail.

Points to Keep in Mind While Buying the Towel Rails

The material of the towel rail is important however, along with that you also need to take under consideration the size that is required when you go out to buy the rails. Some points that you need to keep in mind are as follows:-

You need to get the correct size, which will suit the bathroom. This can be done by taking accurate and proper measurements.
Use the rail to the fullest in order to maximize the space in the bathroom.
It needs to be installed in a place where it is easily accessible.
If you are planning to get a heated rail, you do not have to worry as they are very safe especially after it is properly installed.
Depending on the type of wall, you need to get a rail accordingly.
Select the design of it according to the interiors of the bathroom.
To add to the little extra special touch, buy rail that has a very good and classy finish
Make sure that there is enough space to hang your towels properly
If you are considering a heated rail, then make sure that it is of a good company and the power needs to suitable according to the heat that you would like to be generated for your bathroom.

By keeping in mind these few basic points, it will become easy for you to select the right rail that will best fit your bathroom and requirements and at the same time serve it's purpose that is required out of the rail.

Contemporary Lounge Decor

The contemporary lounge has become a versatile entertaining room that can accommodate small private parties and large gatherings. From social cocktail hours to live concerts a contemporary lounge has many uses and a good idea for meeting all the needs of your lounge clientele is to outfit the space with high quality commercial bar stools. Unlike chairs that fit best with matching tables bar stools can be arranged in a variety of ways to accommodate small concert crowds and pre-dinner parties and are not held to any one particular lay out.

If you manage a contemporary lounge space consider all the functions you can take advantage of and plan your decor accordingly. Today a bar or restaurant lounge is much more than simply a waiting area. The lounge has become the place to begin an evening, hang with friends for cocktails, watch entertaining performances including concerts and comedy routines and in some cases end the evening too with a nightcap. Because of the versatile nature of the contemporary lounge managers would be wise to keep their options open when it comes to providing high quality commercial seating.

Designing a Draft Beer System for Your Home Bar

Keg coolers, also called kegerators or beer dispensers, are used for dispensing beer on tap. In order to experience the full flavor of beer, it is crucial that it be served at the right temperature. If beer is too cold, it numbs the taste buds, which makes it difficult to detect some of the more subtle flavors. The temperature of the beer also has an effect on the levels of carbonation, so beer too cold or too warm might not have the smoothness or the tingle of carbon dioxide that you desire. If you home brew or enjoy beer on tap, then a keg cooler is just the right thing to make sure that every beer you serve is fully appreciated.

Purchasing a Keg Cooler

There is a wide variety of keg coolers available online and at your local appliance dealers. Considerations for purchasing a kegerator include things like:

Whether or not it has the capability to convert into an all purpose fridge
How many kegs it holds
If it has casters (wheels) or not for mobility
What kind of beer towers are included
If it has a CO2 regulator
The type of temperature control unit it uses
The type of coupler
The type of drip tray it has
What other accessories it includes (CO2 tanks, cleaning kits, warranties, guard rails, etc.)

If you are building a home bar, be sure to budget for the type of keg cooler that will suite your style. Kegerators range in price from $360 for a simple single tap system up to $2600 or more for a commercial style kegerator.

Commercial Kegerators vs. Home Market Kegerators

Depending on your entertainment needs, a commercial quality kegerator might make sense for you.

High quality Commercial Keg Coolers help keep the faucet cold in order to reduce beer foam.

A lot of home draft beer drinkers wonder why the first glass of beer always foams. Any time you change the temperature of beer dramatically upon dispensing, you run the risk of causing beer foam. Since beer tower faucets are sitting in a warm room, they are warmer than the beer. When the cold beer hits the warm faucet, the sudden rise in beer temperature causes CO2 to escape, resulting in foam. Once enough beer has passed through the faucet to cool it down, the beer will pour normal again. If you wait a little while before pouring another beer (30 minutes or so), the faucet will warm up again and the process will repeat. Pouring beer into a frozen glass also causes additional foaming because the glass is a lot colder than the beer.

Keeping the faucet the same temperature as the beer is the best way to eliminate foaming. High quality Commercial Kegerators often include a fan and hose to direct cold air into the beer tower to keep the faucet cold, which helps reduce beer foam.

The best way to keep beer faucets cold is with a beer line chiller. A line chiller is a refrigerator that chills glycol (anti-freeze) and then circulates the ice cold glycol through lines, into the beer tower and around the rear shank of the faucet. Line chillers are typically only used in commercial bars and restaurants where the kegs are stored at a distance from the beer towers.

High quality Commercial Kegerators cool beer faster, run more efficiently, and maintain a more consistent temperature.

Most keg units for the home are cold wall refrigerated with static condensers, which means there is no fan to assist in the heat exchange. This reduces the refrigeration capacity and makes it more difficult to maintain a consistent temperature. In a warm environment, like a garage, home market kegerators will have increased wear and tear on the compressor because it has to run more frequently to keep the refrigerator cold. In addition, the cold wall refrigeration system can cause many home market kegerators to develop frost on the walls. These kegerators will need to be defrosted on occasion, which could be a challenge depending on where the unit is installed.

High quality commercial keg coolers are chilled using fans in a forced air refrigeration system. Commercial keg coolers have a larger refrigeration capacity, which allows them to cool beer more quickly, maintain a consistent temperature in warmer environments or under heavy use, and run more efficiently. Note, however, that commercial kegerators will run louder than the home keg coolers because of the fans involved.
